Design would like to think it is because we are all becoming more “spiritual” and reflective in our habits, but it is more likely we are influenced by the cultural glamour trend that is sweeping our nation as one of the antidotes against “hard times”.   Overall, the home is still where the heart is and more and more, people are investing in their home as their oasis, their solace, their hearth and expression of their lives.
	Friend of r.o.i. Design Publishes New Book   Long time friend of r.o.i. Design, Gale Steves, introduced her new book at the High Point Furniture Market this April. Right-Sizing Your Home is available through Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com.   In Right-Sizing Your Home, Gale Steves shows how to make sense of those spaces rarely used and no longer suited to the way we live today. Unlike most home design books, each chapter in this beautifully illustrated book centers on a function in the home–such as bathing, relaxing, or eating–and helps readers assess their individual style and approach to each.   Way to go Gale!
	Before and After   Usually it is only the owner and the designer that can appreciate how a space has changed because they lived there before and after. We would like to share a few of our jobs from that perspective.     Lobby Before   This month, we feature our project at Holistic Care Approach. Barb Meconis has expanded her business to include Dr. Tinning's practice offering IV therapy. That increase in business required Holistic to expand their facility to accommodate an infusion room and additional treatment rooms.
