Architectural Concepts was originally started as the architectural division of a large contracting company. Because of this experience, we have a unique understanding of the building industry from both the design and construction standpoints. We produce construction documents that have been praised by contractors as being both very detailed and highly "buildable".We focus our energies on listening to our clients, and providing design solutions that address their specific project requirements, within their stated budgets.
We are a small firm made up of dedicated individuals, committed to providing excellent service to our clients at affordable rates.
If we are selected to work on your project, you will work with the president of the firm, from the initial design stages, through the end of construction. We believe that this lends critical continuity to your project. It is not handed from person to person, or from department to department within the firm.

Architectural Concepts’ president, Ken Watkins, has been practicing architecture since 1987 and currently holds licenses to practice architecture in the following states: Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Texas.
Ken presently serves on the Board of Directors of two non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations. He is also on the Board of Trustees of his church. Each of these experiences, as well as being the owner of a small business, has made him deeply aware of the significance of getting the most out of every dollar committed to a building project.
